Jun 2006: Rettig commences capacity expansion at 2 Polish plants

CEO Markus Lengauer announced in early 2006 the need to invest in new production capacity close to those geographic areas which are growing fastest. In Rybnik in south-western Poland, work started on a new production hall in mid 2006, and in 3rd Quarter 2007 Rettig will go live with a new state-of-the-art welding line, thereby alleviating pressure on the two lines which are currently working around the clock. In the north-west of Poland, substantial and at times creative building work followed the decision to increase capacity at the Walcz factory with plans for going live with a third line in November 2006.
