Hull

Rettig’s Hull plant in the UK is primarily focussed on the manufacture of fan convectors: the well known plinth convector available in hot water and electric formats known as the kick space together with other Hi- and Lo-Line possibilities. More recently production has been expanded to cover casings for LST radiators and also diffusion plates and other manifold components for Underfloor heating systems.

The plant site was relocated to Hull in 1991 from Ongar, Essex. The Hull site now has a production area of 2800 square meters.

Products are primarily sold under the Purmo and Myson brands and are sold in the UK, continental Europe and in the USA.

The plant has obtained the BS EN ISO 9001 Manufacturing Standard and the BS EN ISO 14004 Environmental Standard. Products are tested and approved to a broad range of different standards including BEAB (UK), KEMA (Holland), VDE (Germany), UL (U.S.A.), NF (France) and SEMKO  (Sweden).

The company has recently invested in Bulk Copper Feeding Machinery in the Coil Plant, in Handling Plant in the LST Packing Area and also in integrated packaging machinery.

At Hull, manning levels are in the main sufficient to cover demand in a single shift system 5 days per week but can be flexed to 2 shifts when necessary in the press shop and paint plant.
