Since October 2008, Rettig has been established in Turkey through Rettig Metal Ticaret ve Sanayi AS in Izmir. This company first acquired the majority shareholding of Seri-is Makina and Seri-is Metal from the Binoglu family. In December 2011 Rettig has acquired the rest of the shares and now has 100% ownership of Rettig Metal.

When Seri-is started its activities in 1970, the main business was the polishing and chrome plating of steel products, with a total of eight employees involved.
In 1982 the company purchased its own building and started to produce vacuum-cleaner extension tubes for Turkey’s largest household-appliance company.
At the beginning of the new millennium, the company invested in the towel-warmer business and started production. Since 2003, there has been an ongoing co-operation with Myson, and the company became the main supplier of chrome-plated towel warmers for Rettig ICC in the UK, French , Polish and Scandinavian markets, amongst others.
In 2010 turnover amounted to €4,9 million, with 80,000 units produced. At the moment Rettig Metal has 117 highly skilled employees.

The Plant manager Gökhan Binoglu sees his priority in producing reliable products for customers and to make Rettig Metal a long-term, powerful player throughout Europe with the help of motivated and dynamic employees.
